An array of timelessly wild wedding blooms at this unique Grade II listed Nottinngham wedding venue – The Pumping House

The Pumping House

THE ENGINE HALL

With beautiful images taken by Kat & Jon’s photographer, Charlotte from Captured Life Photography you can really see the potential of The Engine Room. The room itself has unique tiling, stunning arch windows, and high glass ceiling which creates an illuminating space for the wedding breakfast.

Kat’s Wedding Bouquet

Kat chose to have a beautiful whimsical styled wedding bouquet that had a base of texture, but keeping it timeless using ivory and white flowers. The floral recipe include White Avalanche Roses, Waxflower, White Lisianthus and cream Vuvuzela Roses. Foliage really made this bouquet and the texture was created by using different varities of Eucalyptus. The bridemaids had a smaller wedding posy than Kat’s which looked stunning against their sage bridesmaid dresses.

A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY…

The Pumping House is a beautiful Grade II listed Nottinghamshire wedding venue, featuring a licensed ceremony room, main hall for wedding breakfasts, accommodation for the wedding party and guests and a woodland setting for outdoor drinks receptions. Late licensed to 1am, this beautiful red brick building, still featuring the original and distinctive chimney, is located on a six-acre site in the heart of Sherwood Forest. The tranquil surroundings provides the perfect backdrop for your wedding and offers ample opportunity for unique photography.

The Pumping House has ample space to meet all your wedding venue needs in one place, all in arms reach from our flower workshop in Holdworth.

Wedding Buttonholes

Simple and classic – you can’t beat a single white Rose buttonhole for a Groom. Add a dash of foliage and you’re ready to go. Depending on the time of year we would always wire our buttonholes using traiditional floristy techniques, however, when in the peak of summer we do these a little different and leave the main tape stem as little longer so they can drink water until ready to be worn.

What do we love at The Pumping House?

We love the fact that this venue has a Cinema Room. It’s perfect for younger guests to keep them occupied or giving them the break they need to chill out later in the evening when the adults are dancing the night away. It’s even complete with kids DVDs and games!
